Dining at Avenue One

Avenue One serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with locally sourced ingredients and modern New England dishes. The Lobby Bar provides cocktails and light bites. Room service is available, and the morning buffet includes made-to-order omelets. Executive Chef Armetta oversees the menu with American and European influences.

Guests can use the indoor saline swimming pool, sun terrace, and LifeFitness cardio equipment. The fitness center has Peloton bikes and Technogym machines. Nearby activities include Segway tours and sailing along the Charles River.

Theater District location

The hotel is in Boston's Theatre District, a 5-minute walk from Downtown Crossing's shopping and restaurants. The Green Line at Boylston Station is steps away. Nearby landmarks include the Freedom Trail (0.5 km), Boston Common (1 km), and Fenway Park (2.5 km).

Business and event spaces

Hyatt Regency Boston has 21 meeting rooms, two boardrooms, and a Grand Ballroom with a terrace, totaling 30,000 square feet. The business center provides worktables instead of desks. Concierge services assist with local recommendations, and valet parking is available.

Hyatt Regency Boston is often chosen for its proximity to the Paramount Theater and the opera house, along with convenient access to the Freedom Trail, making it ideal for theatergoers and those exploring Boston's historic sites. Many guests appreciate the spacious rooms and comfortable beds, ensuring a restful stay. The breakfast buffet, featuring an omelet station and a variety of options, also receives positive attention; however, some guests have noted that the downtown area can feel a bit rough in the evenings. For those attending events or seeking a central location with good amenities, it's generally considered a solid choice.

underwhelming stay left me frustrated

acceptable locationfaulty acinadequate solution
the location was acceptable for getting around.
the a/c unit wasn't working as it should. i called about the room temperature, and i was told to just close the curtains for insulation. i feel like this wasn't a real solution, and it made the room too dark.

mixed feelings about the stay

friendly staffdamp patchawful coffee
the staff at check-in were friendly, this was an acceptable beginning to my stay.
The bathroom had what looked to be a large damp patch on the ceiling, i found that unacceptable. the bath tub enamel was missing in some areas making it quite rough to touch. the coffee machine had not been cleaned. It still had an old used pod in it when i went to use it, the coffee it produced tasted awful.
